Christmas Lunch in the Park
For most, Christmas is a time of celebrating with family. But for those who experience homelessness, it is a day where their situation can prove more difficult than usual.
Many support services are closed on Christmas day – inspiring Christmas Lunch in the Park.
For the past 42 years, Christmas Lunch in the Park has served a Christmas day meal to those most in need in Perth. This year 1,200 people and 250 volunteers are expected to attend the community-funded event where attendees will receive a traditional Christmas lunch, a personal care pack and connection with community support services.
