Mission Australia is supported by thousands of passionate volunteers who generously donate their time, energy and expertise to help us to deliver our programs and services for Australians in need.
About us
Mission Australia is a national charity that has worked alongside people in need since 1859, with the help of supporters from the community.
Decades of work alongside people and communities on their path to positive change has given Mission Australia a unique perspective and the trust of the community.
We collaborate with government, the corporate sector, and with other organisations when our expertise or leadership can support positive social change. Our work is backed by research and already does much to shift attitudes and change lives.
But more needs to be done. Issues like family violence and substance misuse continue to cause great harm. Mental health and homelessness have become huge challenges in more recent times. And some sectors of the community – such as our elderly – are missing out on the dignity and security they deserve.
Today, there is an opportunity to go beyond the immediate response to these issues.
Together with Mission Australia, you can help shift the factors that cause and perpetuate them.
