No young person should be homeless in a country as economically prosperous as Australia. Over the past 20 years the number of homeless teenagers has doubled to 22,000. If you include Australian youth aged between 18-25, the number exceeds 50,000.
The reasons behind youth homelessness are often complex and can include family conflict, abuse, mental illness, or drug and alcohol dependency.
With your support, we can transform the lives of young Australians in crisis.
How we help
We provide early intervention programs, crisis accommodation, and a range of flexible support services to help prevent youth homelessness. However, when homelessness does occur we take care of their immediate needs and address the underlying causes to their homelessness, preventing them from becoming trapped in a long-term cycle.
